The Facilitator Development Workshop (FDW) is a five-day intensive workshop designed to develop facilitation skills and to prepare participants to lead the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW).
By the end of the Facilitator Development Workshop, participants will be able to:
-create flexible lesson plans for use in an ISW on topics such as learning outcomes, assessment, active learning and teaching with technology
-facilitate large and small group learning opportunities for participants from a variety of disciplinary backgrounds and with a range of teaching experiences
-develop and ask rich facilitation questions designed to stimulate learner reflection and promote learner risk taking
-execute the processes of facilitating a micro-teaching session including the use of video, feedback forms, timing and group development.
